Our approach

How It Works

We connect company owners with qualified international buyers through a structured and discreet process. Our focus is on the right opportunities, the right counterparties and the right timing.

  1. Understand

We listen and understand the objectives, situation and preferences.

  2. Position

We analyse the opportunity and define the appropriate positioning.

  3. Identify

We identify and engage relevant international buyers.

FROM INSIGHT TO OPPORTUNITY. FROM OPPORTUNITY TO PEOPLE.

Where genuine mutual relevance develops, Meridian facilitates an introduction between the relevant parties. Any subsequent formal transaction process is handled by the appropriate professional advisers.

How access to information is controlled

THE OPPORTUNITY JOURNEY

From Potential to Outcome.

Progression is not automatic. The owner remains in control, and no company identity or confidential information is disclosed without appropriate consent.

  1. Under Review

A potential opportunity is being assessed. Only limited, specifically approved information may be presented publicly.

  2. Available

An anonymised opportunity has been approved for presentation to relevant potential buyers.

  3. Qualified Interest

Relevant buyer interest has been identified and reviewed. No identities are disclosed without consent.

  4. Under Negotiation

The opportunity has progressed into direct discussions between relevant parties.

  5. Closed

The opportunity is no longer active. This may reflect a completed transaction, strategic outcome, withdrawal or another conclusion.

AN OPPORTUNITY MAY CONCLUDE AT ANY STAGE.

  • OWNER REMAINS IN CONTROL
  • NO NAMES BEFORE CONSENT
  • NO GUARANTEED OUTCOME
How access to information is controlled

For Norwegian owners and companies

Introduce your business, objectives and preferences. Meridian reviews each submission before preparing any coded, anonymised public presentation. Your company is not published automatically.

For international strategic buyers

Register your acquisition criteria for review. Once your account is approved, you can register interest in an available opportunity. Meridian reviews each enquiry individually. Account approval or a change in opportunity status does not grant access to confidential information.

Qualification, confidentiality and consent

Public opportunities can be viewed without an account. A buyer account must be approved before an expression of interest can be submitted. Each opportunity then follows an individual review.

  1. Explore anonymously

View a public opportunity by its unique code. The overview describes the business without identifying the company.

  2. Register interest

Create a buyer profile for review. Once your account is approved and any applicable registration terms are met, you can express interest in an opportunity.

  3. Verify the fit

Meridian reviews the specific enquiry, acquisition criteria and fit before agreeing the next step.

  4. Request further information

Discuss what information is needed. Requests are reviewed individually; a request does not grant access to confidential material.

  5. Agree the confidentiality process

Agree any required NDA and the appropriate professional M&A or legal involvement before identifying information is released.

  6. Disclose with permission

Meridian coordinates which information can be shared, with whom and at what stage, subject to the owner’s approval and agreed confidentiality terms.
